Monday 15 February.
You will be met at London’s Heathrow Airport and escorted to your bus, before transfer to your hotel where a ‘brunch’ will be served. Following a period to settle in, there will be an afternoon tour featuring the Tower of London (shown below). Famous for housing the Crown Jewels, the Yeoman Wardens (often called Beefeaters), the Ravens and the Bloody Tower, this amazing fortress/palace/prison has some stunning stories to tell. The ancient tower (actually a series of towers) has been the scene of beheadings, murders and imprisonment.
And then there’s a great opportunity to see London’s most famous landmark bridge, Tower Bridge (shown below). In the evening there’s an opportunity to find a restaurant of your choice, and for those with energy to spare, theater tickets for a West End show – your hotel is ideally situated for this.
Tuesday 16 February.
We’re off on full day’s guided tour of London, seeing many historic sites including a visit and tour of stately and ancient Westminster Abbey, (where Elizabeth 1st and Mary Queen of Scots are buried) plus a walk through “Theatre Land” as well as photo opportunities of Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, The Royal Parks, and Kensington Palace. There’s a lunch stop/lunch shop opportunity at Harrods (shown below), one of the world’s most famous stores! In the evening, time for a dinner out of your choice, and again, a chance to take in one of London’s famous West End shows.
Wednesday 17 February.
After breakfast a free day for you to explore London. Jeff and Kay will help you plan your day and help with directions too. The Thistle Hotel is on Oxford Street (shown below), arguably the world’s most famous shopping street, and just a 3 minute walk to Marble Arch Tube Station. Marble Arch is on the Junction of Oxford Street, Park Lane and Hyde Park.

First a visit to St Peter in Galicantu (shown below) (where Peter denied Jesus 3 times – the church is built over the dungeons where it’s believed that Jesus was held before his trial.) Walk to Mount Zion and the traditional site of the Upper Room…and then a walk through the Old City to St Mark’s, which is almost certainly the actual site of the Last Supper, The Upper Room and the first meeting place for believers…make sure you see the battered photos in the porch where the 1st Century Graffiti found in the room below the church gives evidence to this!
The Upper room can be visited if the Syrian Patriarch is in residence and no doubt he will serve you sweet tea and sweets in his throne room for a chat and a welcome..…The rear part of the Upper Room is today walled off as it is used as a crypt for the burial of the Patriarchs, there are steps within this part leading to the “downstairs.” Visitors are not allowed in these areas. The day is completed with a visit to the Memorial to the Children at Yad Vashem.

A walk through the Suk (Bazaar) will bring you to the Cardo the main street from the time of Jesus. Next we visit the Davidson Centre with its superb dynamic of the Temple and the Southern Steps of the Temple where Jesus overturned the temple rogue traders. If time permits, a walk through Hezekiah’s tunnel – a small flashlight and some old shoes (there’s water in the tunnel) required….skirts/shorts are best if you don’t want to get wet!

We travel down the Jericho Road to the lowest point on Earth, at approximately 1300 feet below sea level. There’s an opportunity for a short camel ride on the “Zero” Camel! First a visit to Qumran (shown below), where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, next we ascend to the summit of Masada by cable car to hear its’ amazing story.
