This package includes breakfast and arrival brunch in London. In Israel both breakfast and evening dinner is included. Lunch is not included in Israel – but the breakfast and dinner buffets are huge with a magnificent array of choices!

Jeff and Kay look forward to showing you their home town, the city they know so well. In Israel he will be teaching and sharing from the scripture in the ‘land of Jesus” in his own unique way. This will take place at the special sites and/or in the evenings following dinner, when an optional gathering is planned.

Depart from Denver at approx. 19:40pm to London Heathrow arriving at around 11:35am on Saturday 29th April. (Flights and prices are based on British Airways flights from Denver)

Saturday 29th April 2017

You will be met at London’s Heathrow Airport and escorted to your bus, before transfer to your hotel where lunch will be served. Following a period to settle in, there will be an afternoon tour featuring the Tower of London (shown below). Famous for housing the Crown Jewels, the Yeoman Wardens (often called Beefeaters), the Ravens and the Bloody Tower, this amazing fortress/palace/prison has some stunning stories to tell. The ancient tower (actually a series of towers) has been the scene of beheadings, murders and imprisonment.

And then there’s a great opportunity to see London’s most famous landmark bridge, Tower Bridge (shown below). In the evening there’s an opportunity to find a restaurant of your choice, and for those with energy to spare, theater tickets for a West End show – your hotel is ideally situated for this.

Sunday 30th April 2017 

We’re off on full day’s guided tour of London, seeing many historic sites including a visit and tour of stately and ancient Westminster Abbey, (where Elizabeth 1st and Mary Queen of Scots are buried) plus a walk through “Theatre Land” as well as photo opportunities of Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, The Royal Parks, and Kensington Palace. There’s a lunch stop/lunch shop opportunity at Harrods (shown below), one of the world’s most famous stores! In the evening, time for a dinner out of your choice, and again, a chance to take in one of London’s famous West End shows.

Monday 1st May 2017

After breakfast a free day for you to explore London. Jeff and Kay will help you plan your day and help with directions too. The Amba Marble Arch Hotel is on Oxford Street (shown below), arguably the world’s most famous shopping street, and just a 3 minute walk to Marble Arch Tube Station. Marble Arch is on the Junction of Oxford Street, Park Lane and Hyde Park.

Tuesday 2nd May  2017 – Galilee here we come!

Depart from London Heathrow for a 08:15 flight to Ben Gurion Airport, arriving at 15:10 in Tel Aviv. Transfer to kibbutz Hagoshrim in time for evening dinner*  where some special fellowship will be shared as we meet the UK group members who have arrived on a different flight.

Wednesday 3rd May 2017 -  The Sea of Galilee & Sites around the Lake.

We start the day with a visit to the Mount of Beatitudes where we will arrive around 9am. Onto Mensa Christi (The Shores of the Sea of Galilee which houses the Church of the Primacy of St Peter), we will then visit Capernaum (Village of Naum and the town where Jesus lived Matthew 4:13). Onto Bethsaida (Thought to be the “Feeding of the 5000 site) before a short stop for lunch to try St Peter’s Fish (Tilapia) in one of the local fish restaurants. After lunch we will see the “Jesus Boat” (Shown below) located at Nof Ginosar museum, we will then end the day with a relaxing boat trip on the Sea of Galilee where you will have the opportunity to partake in Communion should you wish before returning to Kibbutz Hagoshrim for evening dinner.

Thursday 4th May 2017 - The Upper Galilee, Nazareth and Jerusalem

Drive north for a walk in the Banias (also known as Caesarea Philippi) to the waterfall. (moderate fitness required, but for those with mobility difficulties the bus will transfer to the coffee shop at the waterfall to await the group. Onto Chorazin (One of the villages in Galilee where Jesus would have performed his Mighty works!, it houses a typical Galilean style synagogue. We will then head to Cana (where Jesus performed his 1st Miracle, turning Water into Wine! John 2: 1-11) before visiting the Nazareth Village (Shown below) which is a an open-air museum that reconstructs and re-enacts village life in the Galilee in the time of Jesus. We will travel to Jerusalem in time for dinner at the Dan Jerusalem hotel.

Friday 5th May 2017 – Jerusalem & Bethlehem

After breakfast we will visit the Israel Museum which houses the Shrine of the Book to see the Dead Sea scrolls, we will view the Model City (Shown below) which is a reconstruction of the City of Jerusalem from around the time of the 2nd Temple, it is in a 1:50 scale and is thought to be very accurate because of the detailed works recorded by Josephus Flavius. Onto Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum) which will be a very emotional experience. Onto Bethlehem where we will stop for lunch at Beit Al Liqa, it will cost on around $9 per person on average to be paid for locally. We will visit the Church of the Nativity, view the Shepherds Fields and we will have a little time for shopping in the wood carving gift shop.

Saturday 6th May 2017 – The Old City Walk

We will start the day with a view from the summit of the Mount of Olives, we will walk along the Palm Sunday route to Dominus Flevit (The Tear Drop Church) before visiting the Garden of Gethsemane including the private garden. We will cross through the Kidron Valley entering the Old City via the Lion’s Gate (also known as St Stephens Gate) to visit the Pool of Bethesda (Which means “House of Mercy due to it being a pool known for Healing) & then to the Church of St Anne (The Acoustics in here are great for singing!). We will walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre believed to be the site of Calvary. A lunch stop in the Christian quarter before we view St Marc’s Church and Mount Zion with the traditional Upper room where the Last Supper is thought to have taken place. We will finally go to St Peter in Galicantu (Shown below) where Peter denied Jesus 3 times. (Mark 14:66-72)

Sunday 7th May 2017 – The Dead Sea and Masada

Departing at approx 07:30 from Jerusalem to reach the Authentic Baptismal site Qsar El Yahud in the Jordan river, thought to be around 200m from where Jesus was baptized, the course of the river bed was pushed out 200m due to an earthquake. Next we ascend to the summit of Masada by cable car to hear its’ amazing story before travelling North to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. A lunch stop at the Ahava Dead Sea products base and an opportunity buy some special cosmetics before spending time in mud baths (shown below), swimming in the Dead Sea (the lowest point on earth, 1300ft below sea level), taking natural hot sulphur spring baths and swimming in the pool at one of the Dead Sea Spa resorts.

 Monday 8th May 2017 – The Western Wall & Hezekiah’s Tunnel

We will start the days touring in the Jewish quarter, onto the Western (Wailing) Wall (shown below) where you may see some Bar Mitzvah’s taking place, onto the Southern Wall and the Steps of the Temple Mount, into the City of David and a walk through the wet Hezekiah’s tunnel which will take about 25 mins, the water comes up to your knees at the highest point to wet clothes required and also mobility needs to be good due to the very low walls and twisty bends in a very dark tunnel. Alternatively, if water isn’t your thing there is a option of the dry tunnel instead. The bus will take us to the Jaffa Gate for some free time to buy some lunch before haggling in the Suk (Arab market).

Tuesday 9th May 2017 – Goodbye to Israel

This morning we visit the Garden Tomb (Another possible site for Calvary) and you will have the opportunity for Communion here. We will have lunch at the Ramat Rachel Hotel (To be paid locally) before we transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your 16:50 return flight arriving at London Heathrow for 20:05, a meal will be served on flight. Overnight at either the Hilton, or Renaissance Hotel at Heathrow which will be on a bed and breakfast basis.

Wednesday 10th May 2017

Following a traditional English Breakfast, we transfer the very short distance to the terminal building for your 14:50 return flight to Denver arriving back at around 17:35.
